This year our Annual Soweto Walk will be in remembrance of Hanef as well as the events at Soweto 45 years ago.
It will take place on Sunday 12th June 2022. We will start at the usual location, King George’s Field, St Donat’s at 11:00 and walk to the Plough and Harrow.

Safety Notes
- Remember we are walking along a cliff edge for much of the way.
- Keep well clear of the cliff. Collapses have been known particularly
- after prolonged periods of dry weather;
- Many people will choose to walk back along the road as it is shorter.
- If you do this please take care. It is a narrow country road, without
- pavements. Keep to the right to face oncoming traffic;
- If it is a hot day take on plenty of water and remember if you are at
- the pub that alcohol tends to dehydrate;
- Please protect against the sun you will be walking for between one
- and two hours each way which is a lot of exposure;
- If it is a cold day ensure you wrap up;
- It can be hot inland and cold on the coast if a fog sets in. Be
- prepared;
